About Me

As a passionate reporter and photojournalist, I bring a dynamic range of experience in storytelling, blending my skills as a freelance photographer, reporter, and photo editor. My journey has been shaped by valuable opportunities, including working as a reporter and photographer at 225 Magazine, where I earned my own column, as well as internships with PFLAG New Orleans, Josh Hailey Studios, and Gambit Weekly.

At The Maroon, my college newspaper, I began as a writer and photographer before advancing to the editorial board as both a Senior Staff Photographer and, later, Photo Editor. During my tenure, The Maroon earned the prestigious Pacemaker Award twice, reflecting our commitment to excellence.

I have successfully operated my own freelance photography business for nine years, collaborating on diverse projects ranging from brand campaigns and concert coverage to events and fashion editorials. Throughout my career, I have honed a multifaceted skill set, often taking on the roles of photographer, retoucher, stylist, set designer, lighting technician, location scout, and, when needed, makeup artist. This hands-on approach allows me to deliver comprehensive and creative visual storytelling tailored to each client’s vision.

As a reporter and photographer, I've covered a diverse range of topics, from major citywide events such as Mardi Gras and the Jazz & Heritage Festival to pressing global issues like anti-trans violence, police brutality, and the ineffectiveness of law enforcement. Meanwhile, my photography has taken me worldwide, with a diverse portfolio spanning fashion, travel, portraiture, events, and more. I am dedicated to capturing raw beauty through my lens.

I am currently attending NYU's Magazine and Digital Storytelling graduate program. I aspire to explore the world and have my work published by major media outlets across the globe.
